Jank Residential Seawall Replacement

Client type: Residential

The Jank property needed an aging seawall replaced before it failed, but a nearby pool and an existing dock left almost no room for traditional land-based construction. The UltraMarine team adapted the approach, using barge-based installation to replace the seawall while preserving the homeowner’s waterfront amenities.

The existing seawall had not failed outright, but years in the marine environment had worn down its ability to provide reliable shoreline protection. Two site conditions made a standard installation impractical: a swimming pool sat close to the seawall, severely limiting land-based access for equipment and materials, and the dock configuration restricted access to the waterfront work area.

  • Developed a barge-based installation plan to reach the work area without relying on limited land access
  • Carefully removed and rebuilt portions of the existing dock to provide access for marine equipment, with detailed sequencing to keep the project moving
  • Completed the seawall replacement without impacting the nearby pool and with minimal disruption to the property
  • Delivered long-term shoreline stabilization while preserving the existing waterfront improvements

Despite restricted access and significant logistical hurdles, the project was completed safely and efficiently. The property now has a durable seawall protecting the shoreline, with the pool and waterfront amenities fully preserved through an installation approach tailored to the site.
